Welcome to the Timsgarry Byre – a unique self-catering accommodation in a rural location in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The Byre is located in Uig on the Isle of Lewis, with a stunning beach and the Uig hills on your doorstep. The Byre has been transformed from a tweed weaving workshop/cowshed into an architect designed accommodation for two, complete with living area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, hall and bootroom. The furnishing and artworks are also unique, making this a truly one of a kind holiday stay. You can explore the local area on two electric bikes which come with the accommodation or stay closer to home and go for walks on the beach or birdwatch from the comfort of the living room. Eagles are commonplace and the Byre is the perfect place for star-gazing on clear nights.
The Byre can be booked for 7+ night stays in the summer season, and 3+ night stays in the winter season. Friday is our change-over day. All rental charges go directly to the Linda Norgrove Foundation.
The Byre accommodates two adults and the bedroom, where you wake up to panoramic views of the beach and hills, can be set up with either a king-size or twin beds. The Byre is not suitable for children, but a well-behaved dog is welcome on application.
